Heavy Civil Project Supervisor – Bridge & Highway Construction
Weymouth, MA
Full-Time | MassDOT / Infrastructure Projects
$145,000 – $165,000 per year (DOE)
We are seeking an experienced Heavy Civil Project Supervisor with direct field experience in bridge construction, roadway reconstruction, structural concrete, and DOT-regulated infrastructure projects.
This is not a facilities, property management, or vertical building construction role. Candidates must have hands‑on experience managing crews on public infrastructure, bridge, or highway projects.
The Projects- Bridge rehabilitation & replacement
- Structural concrete & steel erection
- Highway reconstruction & roadway widening
- Drainage systems & utility relocation
- MassDOT and public works infrastructure
- Supervise and support field personnel on active job sites
- Manage construction projects assigned by management
- Read and interpret plans, drawings, and specifications
- Perform project layout and work with GPS systems
- Monitor project costs, schedules, and contract deadlines
- Track change orders and project billings
- Order materials as approved by Project Managers
- Coordinate with engineers, inspectors, owners, and officials
- Attend project and coordination meetings
- Work with subcontractors and ensure compliance with safety policies
- Address field issues, equipment failures, and daily jobsite needs
- Assist with improving project efficiency and workflow
- Maintain strong safety standards across all projects
- Minimum 5 years of experience in heavy civil or utility construction
- Ability to manage crews and work hands‑on when needed
- Comfortable running equipment and assisting with material handling
- Strong communication and problem‑solving skills
- Willingness to work 50+ hours per week
, including occasional weekends or holidays
Required:
- 1C–2A Hoisting License (minimum)
- OSHA 10 Certification
- DOT Medical Examiner’s Certificate
