Senior Construction Site Manager

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Construction Site Manager to work on-site in Boston, MA. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing all phases of construction and technical systems integration projects from planning through completion. The manager ensures that all field operations are executed safely, remain on schedule, stay within budget, and adhere to strict quality and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide daily on-site leadership and supervision for construction crews, subcontractors, and site personnel.
  • Manage day-to-day construction and systems integration activities from initial project kickoff through final closeout.
  • Direct the design, development, and integration of systems architecture combining hardware, software, and networking for transportation systems.
  • Oversee integration testing, validation, and strategy processes to ensure subsystem interoperability and compliance with industry standards.
  • Develop, maintain, and update comprehensive project schedules using Primavera P6, MS Project, or Smartsheet.
  • Plan, track, and allocate labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor resources efficiently.
  • Ensure absolute adherence to project scope, schedule, budgets, and high-quality construction practices.
  • Monitor field progress, identify potential integration risks, and implement immediate corrective actions.
  • Enforce rigorous OSHA and company safety standards by conducting regular site inspections and compliance reviews.
  • Serve as the primary on-site communication link and point of contact for clients, project managers, engineering teams, and stakeholders.
  • Maintain highly accurate project documentation including daily logs, schedules, budgets, RFIs, and change orders.
Required Qualifications:
  • Possess 5 to 10+ years of construction management experience, including direct supervision of large-scale or complex field projects.
  • Demonstrated track record of success managing project budgets, timelines, subcontractors, and field personnel.
  • Proficiency utilizing construction management software and advanced scheduling tools such as Primavera P6, MS Project, or Smartsheet.
  • Deep understanding of modern construction methods, building codes, and safety regulations.
  • Proven ability to accurately read and interpret complex blueprints, technical documents, and engineering diagrams.
  • Hold a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a closely related technical field.
  • Demonstrate native or bilingual proficiency in the English language.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior professional experience working with rail and systems intervention projects.
  • Familiarity or direct experience managing quality control under ISO 900 standards.
  • Possession of professional industry certifications such as PMP, CCM, OSHA 30, or LEED.
