Construction Superintendent / Owner's Representative — Boston, MA | Travel to North Shore

Our client, a well-established real estate owner and developer, is seeking a Construction Superintendent to oversee luxury mixed-use, residential, and historic renovation projects. This is a highly field-focused role responsible for ensuring quality, coordinating with contractors, and protecting the owner's interests from preconstruction through project closeout.

• Perform regular site visits across active projects, documenting progress and quality.
• Ensure construction meets plans, specifications, approved finishes, and owner standards.
• Review construction documents, shop drawings, and submittals to identify coordination and constructability issues.
• Evaluate contractor change orders for scope, necessity, and pricing.
• Conduct quality inspections throughout construction, including framing, waterproofing, MEP rough-in, and finish installations.
• Manage punch list completion and turnover through final closeout.
• Oversee renovations in occupied buildings while coordinating with tenants and project teams.
• Track owner-furnished materials from procurement through installation.

• 5+ years of field experience as a Superintendent or similar construction leadership role.
• Experience delivering luxury residential, mixed-use, hospitality, retail, or adaptive reuse projects.
• Strong background with occupied-building renovations and high-end interior finishes.
• Knowledge of historic restoration, commercial building systems, MEP coordination, and life safety requirements is highly preferred.
• Strong ability to read architectural, structural, and MEP drawings, with excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
