Project Manager – Heavy Civil / Sitework Construction

A well-established heavy civil contractor is seeking a Project Manager with experience in heavy civil, roadway, excavation, or site development construction to oversee projects from preconstruction through completion. The company specializes in large-scale public and private sitework projects.

Responsibilities
  • Manage all aspects of assigned projects, ensuring safe, timely, and cost-effective execution.
  • Coordinate daily with Superintendents, field teams, owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors.
  • Perform quantity takeoffs, contract negotiations, and project buyouts.
  • Manage submittals, shop drawings, RFIs, change orders, and project documentation.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, cost reports, and financial forecasts.
  • Oversee material procurement and project logistics.
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, resolve issues, and track project costs.
  • Prepare and submit payment requisitions.
  • Manage project changes and ensure alignment with contract scope and requirements.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of Project Management experience in heavy civil, roadway, excavation, sitework, or infrastructure construction.
  • Experience with public works, DOT, or private site development projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, equipment, and OSHA safety standards.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, plans, and engineering specifications.
  • Excellent leadership, organization, and communication skills.
  • Experience with project management, scheduling, and job cost software.
  • Construction Management or Civil Engineering degree.
  • OSHA 30 certification and valid driver’s license.
