Construction Manager/ Foreman, Regulatory Compliance Specialist, Site Manager, Procurement / Purchasing
We’re a well-established Boston general contractor looking for an experienced Project Manager who enjoys running quality projects without the constant pressure and bureaucracy that often comes with larger organizations.
This isn’t a ladder-climbing position or a high-volume corporate environment.
We’re looking for someone who takes pride in seeing projects through from start to finish, enjoys solving problems, and values working directly with company leadership. You’ll manage a small number of projects, have the authority to make decisions, and be trusted to run your work with minimal layers of management.
If you’ve spent years managing complex commercial construction and are looking for meaningful work with a more balanced pace, we’d like to talk.
About the RoleYou’ll oversee commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout while working closely with ownership, field leadership, design teams, and clients.
Responsibilities include:
- Managing project budgets, schedules, buyouts, and financial performance
- Leading owner, architect, and subcontractor coordination
- Reviewing submittals, RFIs, change orders, and project documentation
- Supporting field operations alongside experienced Superintendents
- Maintaining project quality, schedule, and client satisfaction
- Guiding projects through successful completion with a proactive, hands-on approach
- 10+ years of Project Management experience with a commercial general contractor
- Experience managing ground-up and major renovation projects
- Strong understanding of budgeting, scheduling, contracts, and subcontractor management
- Comfortable working independently with minimal oversight
Experience with Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, or similar construction management software - Massachusetts construction experience preferred
- Manage a limited number of quality projects instead of an overloaded portfolio
- Work directly with company leadership
- Competitive compensation and excellent benefits, including 100% employer-paid healthcare
- Stable workload with realistic expectations
- Opportunity to stay engaged in meaningful construction without the large-firm grind
This role may be an excellent fit for an experienced Project Manager, former executive, consultant, owner’s representative, or someone considering a transition from a larger contractor who still enjoys building—but is looking for a more rewarding pace.
Boston area projects.
Compensation and BenefitsThe company offers strong compensation, 100% employer-paid healthcare, and bonuses.
