Job Description

What You'll Do:As a Project Engineer, you'll work closely with Project Managers to help plan, organize, and execute heavy civil construction projects. This hybrid role offers a dynamic mix of fieldwork and office-based responsibilities, giving you well-rounded experience and plenty of room to advance.
Key Responsibilities:- Champion a safety-first culture by actively participating in the implementation and enforcement of the Company's safety program
- Interpret construction drawings and project documents
- Create field sketches and construction details
- Inspect job sites for quality and progress
- Provide technical support to field crews
- Supervise, train and mentor Field Engineers
- Coordinate material deliveries and subcontractors
- Track materials, report progress, and help manage project budgets
- Handle RFIs, submittals, and project documentation
- Attend project meetings and provide updates
- Perform quality control and assurance checks
To be considered, preferred applicants should present the following:
- 7+ years of construction or engineering experience
- Willing to work in varying outdoor conditions, travel as needed, and be flexible with hours (nights/weekends/on-call)
- Tech-savvy, with Microsoft Office proficiency (experience with VISTA, Heavy Job, Blue Beam and/or AutoCAD)
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
