Clerk of the Works – Construction Experience Required

Location: Boston, MA area

We are working with a client who is looking for an experienced construction professional to join their team as a Clerk of the Works.

This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned Superintendent or Construction Professional who has extensive field experience and is looking to transition into a role focused on project oversight, quality control, and documentation.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background delivering large-scale commercial construction projects and the ability to identify issues in the field, understand construction documents, and ensure work is progressing in accordance with plans and specifications.

Responsibilities:

• Perform regular site visits and monitor construction progress.
• Prepare detailed daily reports documenting site activity, manpower, progress, and observations.
• Review work in the field against drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
• Identify potential issues and communicate findings to project stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate records throughout the construction process.
• Work closely with contractors, owners, and project teams.

Qualifications:

• Extensive experience as a Construction Superintendent, General Superintendent, or Senior Construction Professional.
• Strong knowledge of commercial construction processes, drawings, and specifications.
• Experience overseeing large-scale construction projects.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and provide informed observations based on field experience.
