We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Superintendent to join our team in the Commercial Project & Construction Management sector. This role is pivotal in ensuring the successful execution of large-scale commercial construction projects, from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of expertise in managing complex construction operations, leading teams, and delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities- Oversee all aspects of commercial construction projects, ensuring adherence to project plans, schedules, and budgets.
- Lead and manage on-site construction teams, fostering a culture of safety, collaboration, and excellence.
- Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement effective solutions to mitigate delays or issues.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, building codes, and company policies.
- Conduct regular site inspections to maintain quality control and ensure adherence to specifications.
- Prepare and present progress reports to stakeholders, highlighting key milestones and addressing any concerns.
- Mentor and develop junior team members, promoting professional growth and knowledge sharing.
- Proven experience as a Superintendent in commercial construction, with a strong track record of successfully completed projects.
- In-depth knowledge of construction processes, techniques, and materials.
- Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide diverse teams.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on delivering results.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and team members.
- Proficiency in construction management software and tools.
- A degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., OSHA, PMP) are a plus.
- Lead daily site meetings to align teams on project goals and address any immediate concerns.
- Review and approve project plans, schedules, and budgets, ensuring alignment with client expectations.
- Conduct site walkthroughs to monitor progress, address challenges and ensure quality standards are met.
- Collaborate with project managers to update timelines and allocate resources effectively.
- Resolve on-site issues promptly, maintaining a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Ensure all safety protocols are strictly followed, conducting regular safety audits and training sessions.
- Communicate regularly with stakeholders, providing updates on project status and addressing any inquiries.
