Project Manager - Commercial Construction
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee commercial construction projects from pre-construction through closeout. This role is responsible for delivering projects on time, within budget, safely, and to high-quality standards while maintaining strong client and subcontractor relationships.
Key Responsibilities- Manage projects from pre-construction through completion and closeout.
- Review contracts, proposals, plans, specifications, schedules, and project requirements.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and procurement plans.
- Manage subcontractor buyout, scopes of work, contracts, submittals, and vendor relationships.
- Track project costs, invoices, billings, change orders, and financial performance.
- Prepare monthly project reports and requisitions.
- Monitor project progress and proactively address schedule, budget, and scope issues.
- Coordinate closely with Superintendents, subcontractors, vendors, architects, and clients.
- Manage change orders, potential risks, and dispute resolution.
- Ensure compliance with project safety requirements and OSHA standards.
- Oversee punch-list completion, final inspections, and project closeout.
- Maintain strong client relationships and ensure overall customer satisfaction.
- Provide leadership, guidance, and support to project team members.
- 5+ years of commercial construction project management experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, trades, scheduling, and field execution.
- Experience with subcontractor management, procurement, budgeting, and change orders.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contracts.
- Strong financial management and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong client relationship and team leadership skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction/project management software.
- OSHA 30-hour certification required or willingness to obtain.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and priorities.
