Project Manager - Commercial Construction

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee commercial construction projects from pre-construction through closeout. This role is responsible for delivering projects on time, within budget, safely, and to high-quality standards while maintaining strong client and subcontractor relationships.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage projects from pre-construction through completion and closeout.
  • Review contracts, proposals, plans, specifications, schedules, and project requirements.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and procurement plans.
  • Manage subcontractor buyout, scopes of work, contracts, submittals, and vendor relationships.
  • Track project costs, invoices, billings, change orders, and financial performance.
  • Prepare monthly project reports and requisitions.
  • Monitor project progress and proactively address schedule, budget, and scope issues.
  • Coordinate closely with Superintendents, subcontractors, vendors, architects, and clients.
  • Manage change orders, potential risks, and dispute resolution.
  • Ensure compliance with project safety requirements and OSHA standards.
  • Oversee punch-list completion, final inspections, and project closeout.
  • Maintain strong client relationships and ensure overall customer satisfaction.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and support to project team members.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of commercial construction project management experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, trades, scheduling, and field execution.
  • Experience with subcontractor management, procurement, budgeting, and change orders.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contracts.
  • Strong financial management and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong client relationship and team leadership skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction/project management software.
  • OSHA 30-hour certification required or willingness to obtain.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and priorities.
