We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join our Waterproofing & Restoration Division. This role is responsible for estimating large commercial restoration and waterproofing projects, including garage restoration, concrete repair, building facade repair, roof replacement, and fluid-applied coatings
.
The Estimator will manage the estimating process from pre-bid site walks and quantity take-offs through final bid submission
, ensuring accurate, competitive, and well-scoped proposals. This position works closely with Construction leadership, Project Managers, engineers, building owners, and property managers.
- Conduct pre-bid site walks and evaluate existing conditions, access, logistics, and project requirements.
- Perform detailed quantity take-offs from architectural, engineering, and specification drawings.
- Develop accurate estimates for labor, materials, equipment, subcontractors, and general conditions
. - Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier pricing.
- Prepare complete and professional bids and proposals while meeting deadlines.
- Manage multiple bids simultaneously and maintain an organized bid schedule.
- Identify scope gaps, discrepancies, and potential issues before bid submission.
- Work with Project Managers to ensure a smooth handoff of awarded projects.
- Support value-engineering discussions and provide estimating clarification during project execution.
- Partner with Business Development on pricing strategies and competitive bids.
- Maintain organized estimate files, including take-offs, drawings, quotes, and correspondence.
- Track bid results and estimate-to-actual costs to continuously improve pricing accuracy.
- 3+ years of estimating experience in commercial construction, restoration, waterproofing, concrete repair, or building envelope work.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings and specifications
. - Strong quantity take-off skills and experience with estimating/take-off software.
- Knowledge of concrete repair, facade restoration, roofing, and fluid-applied coating systems is preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfortable communicating with building owners, property managers, engineers, and project teams.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and deadline-driven.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and bids simultaneously.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to job sites throughout the Northeast
