Lead Carpenter / Project Manager - Cape Cod, MA
Salary $75,000 – $110,000 annually (based on experience)
USPRO is seeking an experienced Lead Carpenter / Project Manager to join our growing team. This is a unique leadership role that combines hands‑on carpentry expertise with project management responsibilities. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable leading construction activities in the field while managing schedules, client communication, subcontractors, and project accountability.
This position plays a critical role in ensuring projects are completed on time, on budget, and to the high standards our clients expect.
Position OverviewThis role is approximately: 50% Lead Carpenter / 50% Project Manager
You will oversee residential construction and renovation projects from start to finish while serving as the primary point of contact for clients and trade partners.
Key ResponsibilitiesProject Management
- Manage multiple residential construction and renovation projects
- Maintain project schedules and ensure milestones are achieved
- Track budgets, project progress, and project accountability
- Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and material deliveries
- Conduct site meetings and provide project updates
- Identify and resolve project issues proactively
- Maintain project documentation and reporting
- Ensure projects meet company quality standards
- Serve as the primary client contact throughout projects
- Build strong relationships through communication and transparency
- Address client concerns and manage expectations
- Conduct project walkthroughs and progress reviews
- Perform and oversee high‑quality carpentry work
- Lead field crews and subcontractors
- Ensure work is completed safely and efficiently
- Maintain job site organization and professionalism
- Support construction activities as needed to keep projects moving forward
- 5+ years of residential construction experience
- 3+ years of leadership experience as a Lead Carpenter, Foreman, or Project Lead
- Strong understanding of residential construction methods and best practices
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction documents
- Excellent communication and client‑facing skills
- Strong organizational and project management abilities
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Previous project management experience in residential construction
- Experience managing high‑end renovations, additions, or custom homes
- Familiarity with construction management software
- Construction Supervisor License (CSL)
- OSHA certification
- Ability to safely operate and maneuver trailers (tool & small dump)
