Overview

We are Gupta Media. For the past 25 years, we’ve driven performance marketing for the biggest brands in the world — Disney, Fender, Amazon, and Sony Music, to name a few.

We’re looking for an Associate Creative Director, a strong visual leader who brings ideas to life through design, art direction, and craft. This role is for someone who thinks strategically but leads visually, partnering closely with copy, strategy, and client teams to create work that performs and stands out.

In this role, you’ll help shape the visual direction of Gupta’s creative work, lead art direction across campaigns, and mentor designers to consistently raise the bar. You’ll also support new business efforts and client growth by bringing sharp visual thinking, strong presentation skills, and a collaborative mindset to every engagement.

You are…

...A visually driven and conceptual creative leader with a strong point of view on design, layout, motion, and emerging visual trends, with the ability to push work from good to great. ...A digital-first art director who creates compelling visual systems and executions across social, digital, and integrated campaigns. ...A hands-on leader who guides creative teams from concept through delivery, offering clear visual direction and practical feedback.

...A strong collaborator who partners naturally with copywriters, editors, strategists, and media to shape ideas and own their visual expression. ...A confident communicator who can clearly explain visual decisions and creative rationale to internal teams and clients.

Responsibilities
  • Shape the visual direction of Gupta’s creative work and lead art direction across campaigns.
  • Mentor designers to raise the bar on craft and execution.
  • Support new business efforts and client growth with sharp visual thinking and strong presentation skills.
  • Collaborate with copy, strategy, editors, strategists, and media to shape ideas and own their visual expression.
  • Explain visual decisions and creative rationale to internal teams and clients.
Qualifications
  • 7+ years of experience in the creative field, with 3+ years in a senior art direction or creative leadership role, particularly within digital and social.
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating art direction, visual systems, and high-quality digital and social work.
  • Experience leading visual execution across multiple projects while maintaining consistency and quality.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to mentor designers and elevate creative output.
  • Detail-oriented with a high bar for craft and execution.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced agency environment with tight timelines.
  • Actively engaged in shaping creative culture and visual standards.
