We are seeking an experienced Seasonal Color Specialist to lead the design, installation, and ongoing care of seasonal color programs and container plantings. This is a hands‑on role for someone who combines horticultural expertise with strong design sensibilities, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to delivering exceptional client experiences.
Role OverviewThe Seasonal Color Specialist is responsible for the full lifecycle of seasonal color installations—from concept development and plant selection through procurement, installation, and maintenance—ensuring that every display reflects our signature aesthetic and horticultural excellence. You will work closely with installation crews, support teams, and clients to deliver high‑impact seasonal programs on time and at the highest quality.
Key Responsibilities- Design, plan, and execute seasonal color programs and container plantings for spring, summer, fall, holiday, and transitional displays tailored to each property’s architecture, site conditions, and client preferences.
- Source high‑quality plant material, containers, and materials from growers and nurseries, ensuring availability, performance, and overall design integrity.
- Procure, schedule, and coordinate materials and deliveries for seasonal installations.
- Lead and support the installation of seasonal color displays and container gardens, including layout, planting, finishing presentation, and care instructions.
- Monitor plant health and aesthetics during peak seasons, recommending and executing maintenance, irrigation, deadheading, or refreshes as needed.
- Communicate professionally with clients during on‑site work—explaining design intent, timelines, and care guidance.
- Maintain inventory tracking and accurate documentation related to materials, plant care, and site‑specific notes.
- Maintain high standards for job site safety, cleanliness, organization, and presentation.
- Support seasonal rhythm of work throughout the year, with heavier workloads during planting and change‑out seasons.
- Hourly position, with compensation ranging from $25.00 – $30.00 per hour depending on experience
