Visual Designer

WhatYou’ll Do
- Visual Design
- Create high‑quality graphics, icons, and illustrations aligned with our evolving brand and product design guidelines.
- Update and refine logos, icons, and visual elements across our digital product portfolio.
- Design web graphics and interface visuals that enhance product usability and engagement.
- Maintain visual consistency across platforms while balancing individual product identities with our overall branding guidelines.
- Collaborate with content managers to bring written content to life through clear, accessible, and visually engaging design.
- Ensure visuals are supporting accessibility and inclusivity across web and mobile products.
- Multimedia & Motion Design
- Design and produce motion graphics, animations, and micro‑interactions that bring delight and clarity to digital experiences.
- Edit video assets to improve our current video content for use within product experiences.
- Improve video assets, including refining pacing, adding on‑screen text, and incorporating illustrations or motion graphics.
- Partner with copywriters to design cohesive, story‑driven visual narratives.
- Illustration & Iconography
- Develop original illustrations, emojis, infographics, and icon systems that enhance storytelling and reflect brand personality.
- Build and maintain scalable asset libraries and visual style guides to ensure consistent implementation across teams.
- Collaboration
- Work collaboratively with cross‑functional partners including product managers, developers, UX designers, and marketing to deliver cohesive, high‑quality visual experiences.
- Collaborate with both internal and external teams ensuring visual alignment across all touchpoints.
- 3–6 years of experience designing for digital products or interactive platforms.
- Strong portfolio showcasing expertise in visual design, illustration, and multimedia for digital interfaces.
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects).
- Understanding of UX principles, responsive design, and accessibility standards (WCAG, color contrast, legibility).
- Excellent attention to detail, composition, and visual hierarchy.
- Familiarity with youth engagement or educational platforms.
- Experience with front‑end or motion tools (HTML, CSS, Figma, Lottie, Principle, Proto Pie).
Salary Range: $77,000 - $100,000
Britebound is committed to fair and transparent pay. In determining compensation, we consider a variety of job‑related factors, including prior experience, certifications and licenses, skills and expertise, geographic location, and internal equity. We take a total compensation approach, meaning we look beyond salary alone to support, reward, and recognize the whole individual. Depending on role eligibility, your offer may also include a bonus, 403(b) retirement plan participation, generous paid time off, and comprehensive health and life insurance benefits.
