Design Intern

Overview

Ciampa Creative is seeking a multidisciplinary design intern with a passion for creativity and social change. As a design intern, you’re excited to be part of a collaborative team and work on a variety of design projects. You are detail oriented, eager to learn, grow, and experiment. This role supports the agency’s principal and small design team.

We’re a boutique creative agency based in Boston, and we’re excited to bring a design intern into our collaborative, hands-on studio environment. We work with impact-driven organizations on a range of creative services including brand identity development, marketing communications, user experience strategy and design, web and product design and development, print design, photo and video production, and more. • Gain hands-on professional experience and exposure to the full creative project process, working on real client projects for great causes
• Get mentorship from experienced designers and creative leadership in an environment that values learning, curiosity, and taking initiative
• Support designers on brand identity, marketing materials, websites, reports, and other design projects for our clients as well as for the agency’s own materials
• Assist with design production for print and digital assets
• Help prepare and organize design files, mood boards, and asset libraries
• Participate in creative reviews, brainstorming sessions, and internal critiques
• Make revisions based on feedback and learn best practices for client-ready work
• Conduct light visual research and inspiration gathering
• Occasionally assist with studio organization, documentation, or process improvements

• Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a design, visual arts, or related program
• Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop required; Figma or animation skills are a plus)
• Strong eye for typography, layout, and visual hierarchy
• Interest in branding, interactive design, and social-impact work
• Organized, reliable, and able to manage multiple small tasks
• Open to feedback and excited to learn

• Familiarity with Figma or UX/UI design basics
• Illustration, motion, or photography skills
• Familiarity with Canva

  This position is on-site, open to hybrid for the right fit. Our studio is located in Lower Mills on the Dorchester/Milton line, across the street from the Milton light rail train station. Employee permit street parking is available.
• Compensation: $20-24/hour depending on job-related skills/experience
• This is a part-time W-2 position with the option of becoming full-time.
