Graphic Design Intern

Overview

The Grist is on the lookout for a graphic design intern to join our team this summer. And by ‘join’ we mean join, not sit in a cube off by yourself somewhere. We are a small agency, so it’s a nice opportunity to work directly with the creative team and everybody else as well. You’ll get a great sense of how an agency operates and innovates – but you’ll also get a chance to work on some real assignments.

And if we do our job right, by the end of the summer, you’ll be a greater threat to our jobs than AI. Job listing expires on March 26, 2026.

Note: This is a graphic design internship position for the summer.

• Collaborate with our creative team to learn and evolve your skills
• Assist with photoshoot production
• Refine your presentation and delivery of creative work
• Design print and digital collateral for our clients
• Be part of an energetic and hardworking team
• Play a key role in The Grist marketing projects (welcome pamphlet, social posts, emails, etc)

• Bring an enthusiastic spirit to their work
• Can communicate clearly and think conceptually
• Have strong typographic skills
• Are fluent in Adobe Creative Suite applications
• Are driven and can work both independently, and in team environments
• Are available Tuesday – Thursday from 9-5. Tuesday and Thursday are in-office days at our Boston office.
