Eligibility Requirements

  • Current student at Berklee College of Music or Boston Conservatory at Berklee.
  • Enrolled at least half-time in a degree, diploma, or certificate‑seeking undergraduate or graduate program.
  • Summer is the only semester in which a student can maintain employment without being enrolled. In this case, the student must be pre‑registered for the upcoming fall semester.
  • This exception does not apply to fall or spring semesters.
  • Have a valid United States Social Security Number (SSN).
  • Remain in “valid” Visa status as applicable.
  • A minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA. Students in their first semester can work, even though they do not have an official GPA until the completion of their first semester.
  • Federal Work Study student may apply.
  • In good disciplinary standing.
  • Must be located in the U.S.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide front and back‑of‑house support for all events supported by Concert Production in the Conservatory’s four recital halls:
    Seully Hall, Houston Hall, Studio T401, and Ipswich 106.
  • Stage and audience setups for Conservatory concerts and recitals.
  • Serve as house manager and/or usher for all concert production supported events.
  • Serve as stage crew during concerts and recitals, execute stage moves as needed.
  • Run concert lighting as requested for all supported performances.
  • Provide light technical support for events as needed.
  • Track audience attendance, timing, and other event data for all supported performances.
  • Provide stage crew assistance during off‑campus performances.
  • Assist with setting up QR Codes for audience members.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

  • Ability to take direction and apply new skills.
  • Ability to multitask.
Preferred Skills and Knowledge
  • Previous production and/or stage crew experience.
  • Previous front‑of‑house and/or ushering experience.
