Eligibility Requirements
- Current student at Berklee College of Music or Boston Conservatory at Berklee.
- Enrolled at least half-time in a degree, diploma, or certificate‑seeking undergraduate or graduate program.
- Summer is the only semester in which a student can maintain employment without being enrolled. In this case, the student must be pre‑registered for the upcoming fall semester.
- This exception does not apply to fall or spring semesters.
- Have a valid United States Social Security Number (SSN).
- Remain in “valid” Visa status as applicable.
- A minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA. Students in their first semester can work, even though they do not have an official GPA until the completion of their first semester.
- Federal Work Study student may apply.
- In good disciplinary standing.
- Must be located in the U.S.
- Provide front and back‑of‑house support for all events supported by Concert Production in the Conservatory’s four recital halls:
Seully Hall, Houston Hall, Studio T401, and Ipswich 106. - Stage and audience setups for Conservatory concerts and recitals.
- Serve as house manager and/or usher for all concert production supported events.
- Serve as stage crew during concerts and recitals, execute stage moves as needed.
- Run concert lighting as requested for all supported performances.
- Provide light technical support for events as needed.
- Track audience attendance, timing, and other event data for all supported performances.
- Provide stage crew assistance during off‑campus performances.
- Assist with setting up QR Codes for audience members.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Familiarity with and appreciation for classical music, theater, and dance.
- High professional standards with positive attitude and demeanor.
- Punctuality, trustworthiness, and good reasoning skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to work with others under pressure.
- Ability to take direction and apply new skills.
- Ability to multitask.
- Previous production and/or stage crew experience.
- Previous front‑of‑house and/or ushering experience.
