Job Description
The Ensemble Department is seeking a pianist to accompany students in ensemble classes.
Responsibilities- Act as part of the "house band" for regularly scheduled Ensemble Department classes.
- Participate in Ensemble Department performances and additional rehearsals.
- Accompany visiting artists’ concerts, clinics, and workshops.
- Assist students and faculty during class time.
- Work nights and weekends as required.
- Minimum:
Bachelor’s Degree in Music (preferred, but not required). - Strong musical background across a wide range of contemporary styles.
- Excellent sight‑reading and musicianship, able to groove.
- Complete technical command of the instrument.
- Sensitivity to the needs of vocalists.
- Ability to cultivate a supportive learning environment.
- Commitment to ethical behavior and continuous self‑improvement.
- Hourly rate: $40 per hour.
