Photographer​/Videographer​/Drone Operator; Freelance

Camak Media is looking for a versatile and dependable freelance photographer, videographer and drone pilot to take on overflow production assignments throughout Greater Boston and surrounding areas.

Assignments may include conferences, corporate events, interviews, event b-roll, real estate photography, 360-degree property tours, aerial coverage and other client productions.

This is an as-needed, per-project contract opportunity—not a position with a fixed schedule or guaranteed number of hours. Some assignments may be a few hours, while others may require full-day or multi-day availability.
The ideal candidate is an established freelancer or small business owner with the flexibility to add assignments to their existing schedule.

• Photographing conferences, events, interviews, properties and other client projects
• Capturing polished video b-roll and interview footage
• Operating a drone for professional aerial photo and video assignments
• Capturing HDR-bracketed interior and exterior real estate photography
• Capturing 360-degree panoramic imagery when required
• Following Camak Media shot lists, technical standards and creative direction
• Managing basic lighting and audio when required
• Arriving on time and representing Camak Media professionally on location
• Working independently while communicating clearly throughout each assignment
• Organizing, backing up and uploading captured media by the required deadline
• Protecting client confidentiality and handling all footage responsibly

• Professional photography and videography experience
• Previous experience shooting real estate
• Experience covering conferences, corporate events or similar client-facing productions
• Strong understanding of composition, exposure, lighting, focus and audio
• Experience shooting HDR-bracketed photography
• Valid FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate
• Must maintain commercial general liability and commercial drone/aviation liability insurance, each with minimum coverage of $1 million per occurrence.
• Professional portfolio demonstrating relevant photo, video, real estate and aerial work
• Reliable personal vehicle and willingness to travel to different locations
• Strong work ethic and a small-business-owner mindset
• Dependable, responsive, detail-oriented and able to work without direct supervision
• Ability to follow established workflows and deliver consistent results
• Flexible availability, including weekdays and occasional evenings or weekends

• Professional drone with sufficient batteries
• At least two professional mirrorless camera bodies
• Professional wide-angle and additional lenses
• Sturdy tripod
• External flash
• Camera gimbal
• Basic professional audio equipment
• Portable lighting equipment
• Sufficient batteries, memory cards and backup equipment
• Reliable computer and internet connection for transferring large media files

Experience capturing 360-degree tours with a fisheye lens and panoramic head is strongly preferred. Owning a panoramic head is a plus, but Camak Media can provide one when necessary.

Compensation is determined per assignment based on the location, duration, scope and required deliverables. The rate will always be communicated and agreed upon before an assignment is accepted.
