Investment Copywriter – Boston, MA
We are seeking candidates for an Investment Copywriter position with a top-tier investment management firm located in Boston, MA. The Investment Copywriter will develop short-form content, longer-form sales concepts, event materials, and investor communications. In addition, this role will provide copyediting and proofreading support across a broad range of marketing and editorial content. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of copywriting/editing experience within financial services and a strong understanding of investment terminology.
This is a 3-6+ month contract that will pay $45-55/hr (depending on experience). This position supports a hybrid work model (onsite 3 days per week, remote 1 day).
Responsibilities:- Write, edit, and refine short-form content for both digital and print channels, including:
- Headlines and promotional copy
- Email campaigns
- Social media posts
- Video scripts
- Web pages and banners
- Sales materials and client/investor flyers
- Event and promotional materials
- Develop clear, compelling messaging that supports business objectives while adhering to established brand and editorial standards.
- Collaborate with writers, designers, marketers, and investment professionals to develop and refine content.
- Copyedit and proofread marketing, client-facing, and internal communications for grammar, clarity, consistency, tone, and style.
- Review investment-related content to ensure it meets brand, editorial, and industry standards while maintaining technical accuracy.
- Translate complex investment and financial concepts into clear, accessible messaging for a variety of audiences.
- Manage multiple projects and competing priorities while consistently meeting tight deadlines and maintaining a high level of accuracy.
- Communicate edits, feedback, and recommendations clearly and efficiently to internal stakeholders.
- Maintain a strong understanding of company products, business lines, communication needs, and applicable legal and compliance requirements.
- Provide backup support to the Editorial Standards Manager as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- 5–6+ years of professional copywriting and copyediting experience, preferably within financial services.
- Experience in asset management, wealth management, financial publishing, or institutional investment communications strongly preferred.
- Exceptional command of grammar, punctuation, syntax, style, and editorial standards.
- Strong copyediting, proofreading, writing, and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage a high volume of projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Strong portfolio showcasing short-form copywriting and editorial expertise, particularly within a regulated industry.
- Ability to understand and accurately communicate investment and financial terminology.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across teams and geographies.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with Adobe Acrobat and project management tools is a plus.
