Editorial Content Specialist
We are currently seeking candidates for an Editorial Content Specialist opportunity with a highly successful Investment Management firm located in Boston, MA. The Editorial Content Specialist will be responsible for copyediting and proofreading a variety of editorial content and will craft short-form content, including social media posts, email copy, headlines, and promotional blurbs, for usage across multiple channels (internal and external).
The Editorial Content Specialist must have strong experience transforming complex financial information into audience-friendly, engaging copy. The ideal candidate will have 4-6+ years of copy editing/writing experience in investment management, asset management, financial services, or related industry.
This is a 3-6+ month contract position, paying between $45-$55/hour (depending on experience).
This role supports a hybrid work model (3 days onsite and 2 days remote).
Responsibilities- Perform copyediting and proofreading across a variety of content, including client materials, marketing, and internal communications, and ensure clarity, grammar, consistency, and alignment with brand voice and positioning.
- Contribute to digital and print communication efforts, writing and editing short-form copy for headlines, subheads, banner ads, email subject lines, video scripts, and social media posts.
- Partner with internal teams to create engaging short-form copy that aligns with firm goals, style, and brand.
- Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to ensure all content aligns with firm and industry compliance and regulatory standards.
- Maintain the firm's editorial style and voice, and contribute to process improvement.
- Review and edit investment content and ensure compliance with industry and firm standards while maintaining technical accuracy.
- Manage multiple projects and timelines while ensuring accuracy and timeliness and prioritizing needs.
- Ensure clear and collaborative communication throughout the copyediting process, communicating edits and revisions productively and effectively.
- Provide training on style guidelines and editorial standards.
- Develop and maintain a strong understanding of firm products, business lines, and communication needs.
- Support special projects as needed.
- Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communication, Finance, or related field.
- 4-6+ years of copyediting and copywriting experience in investment management, financial services, wealth management, or related industry.
- Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
- Strong grasp of grammar, punctuation, syntax, and AP style.
- Proven expertise in proofreading and editing.
- Strong time management, prioritization, and organization skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat.
- Experience with project management tools is a plus (such as Jira, Asana, Smartsheet, etc.).
