Social Media Specialist, Trust | Boston Childrens Hospital
Position Summary:
The Social Media Specialist (Trust) will execute social media strategies to increase brand awareness, engage donors and donor prospects, and to achieve the organization's objectives. They will work closely with a wide variety of stakeholders to create plans, with a focus on ROI, that drive event registration and donations. Candidates for this role should be passionate about social media and knowledgeable about current and emerging trends within the non-profit and consumer marketplace.
They should be able to collaborate with copywriters, designers, and video editors to produce outstanding creative work. This role requires 2 days in-person in Boston, MA and the other days are remote.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement social media plans to achieve the Trust's goals and objectives with guidance from the director of donor channels.
- Share best practices and provide guidance to stakeholders across the organization, helping them understand how social media might support their goals.
- Plan and schedule social media posts, ensuring consistent messaging, branding, and alignment with the Hospital's standards and guidelines.
- Work closely with the creative team, providing strategic plans, data analytics, and creative briefs for the creative team to use for content creation.
- Create and curate engaging content for social media platforms when needed for event day coverage, immediate needs, or to quickly address an urgent need.
- Partner with communications team colleagues to develop integrated promotions and campaigns utilizing social media channels and paid social tools.
- In collaboration with the Senior Social Media Specialist, monitor social metrics and regularly reports on progress. Report on performance with an eye toward identifying trends and opportunities to improve performance.
- Monitor Trust specific posts and respond to comments, messages and mentions as needed. Escalate sensitive issues when required.
