Our team at Aquent is seeking a talented and experienced Art Director to support our Experiential Marketing Agency client for 30 or more hours a week 9/7-3/31.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in creating innovative and impactful visual concepts for large-scale events. This role requires a strong understanding of both print and digital media, as well as the ability to seamlessly integrate them into cohesive experiences.

Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including strategy, account management, and production, to develop creative concepts and approaches.
  • Generate original design concepts and oversee projects from inception to execution.
  • Develop compelling visual narratives aligned with project briefs, utilizing words, images, and sketches.
  • Create event/theme identity systems incorporating color, typography, and imagery (focus on event identity, not extensive brand identity design).
  • Develop storyboards to visualize experiences and content flow.
  • Select props and plants to enhance event environments.
  • Provide art direction to designers for the creation of various creative elements.
  • Coordinate design projects with creative project managers, event producers, graphic producers, and digital producers.
  • Manage design assets and approvals through Click Up.
Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience as an Art Director with a strong portfolio demonstrating successful large-scale event work.
  • Expert knowledge of print and digital design principles and production processes.
  • Ability to develop compelling visual concepts and bring them to life.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Proficiency in design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite).
  • Experience with project management tools (e.g., Click Up).
  • A passion for creating immersive and unforgettable experiences.
