Serve as an ensemble administrator and rehearsal assistant for one of four core vocal ensembles at the Boston Conservatory
Support ensemble operations through rehearsal setup, communication, member support, and logistical coordination
Rotate through four ensemble assignments over four semesters as part of a structured co-curricular work-study rotation
Set up and break down rehearsal spaces, including chairs, risers, scores, and piano
Maintain rosters, rehearsal schedules, and attendance records
Draft and send regular email communications to ensemble members
Coordinate music distribution and collection with the performance library
Assist faculty with score preparation, rehearsal planning, and logistics
Provide individualized support and communication to ensemble members
Liaise with other departments on collaborative projects such as opera chorus
Support inclusive, respectful, and culturally responsive ensemble environments
- Current student at Berklee College of Music or Boston Conservatory at Berklee
- Enrolled at least half-time in a degree, diploma, or certificate-seeking undergraduate or graduate program
- Have a valid United States Social Security Number (SSN)
- Remain in “valid” Visa status as applicable
- Minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA; first-semester students may work before receiving an official GPA
- In good disciplinary standing
- Must be located in the U.S.
- Enrollment in the Boston Conservatory’s graduate choral conducting program
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to communicate clearly and respectfully in writing and in person
- Knowledge of choral score reading and rehearsal practices
- Sensitivity to cultural and educational diversity among ensemble members
