Boston Parks and Recreation- Flyering & Outreach Assistant

Overview

Our program focuses on youth employees with a career interest or pathway in golf, particularly those with a previous affiliation with our program. Caddies must work at our side for several years to become eligible for opportunities with a partnering organization.

• Distribute and post flyers in designated neighborhoods, parks, and community spaces.
• Promote events through approved social media channels.
• Engage with community members to share information about upcoming programs and events.
• Assist with basic event set up and breakdown when needed (e.g., chairs, tables, tents).
• Take photos at events and support on-site outreach efforts.
• Support and collaborate with other employees as directed by supervisors.

• Maintain a professional demeanor and positive attitude at all times while representing the organization.
• Arrive punctually for all scheduled shifts and be prepared to work as assigned.
• Ability to work outdoors for extended periods while standing or walking for long durations.
• Physically capable of lifting, carrying, and handling equipment as required for the position.
