The Boston Fan Zone Ambassador serves as a welcoming, knowledgeable, and approachable representative during soccer watch party pre-game festivals. Ambassadors are the first point of contact for attendees, creating a positive and supportive environment from the moment guests arrive through the start of the game. There are seven different events, each requiring a 3-hour shift. Ambassadors are welcome to stay onsite following their shift and attend the watch party.
This position reports to the Boston Fan Zone Ambassador Manager.
- Warmly welcome all attendees as they enter the festival area
- Maintain a friendly, approachable presence throughout the grounds
- Proactively engage with guests to ensure they feel comfortable and informed
- Assist guests who are lost or disoriented in navigating the festival footprint
- Help locate lost items and direct guests to appropriate lost & found resources
- Respond promptly and calmly to guest needs, questions, and concerns
- Serve as a knowledgeable resource for all festival layout, programming, and logistics
- Direct guests to key areas including entrances, restrooms, food & beverage, entertainment stages, and vendor locations
- Communicate event schedule, programming highlights, and any real-time updates to guests
- Monitor guest flow throughout the festival area and assist in maintaining orderly movement
- Identify and report any safety concerns to event operations staff
- Support a positive and inclusive atmosphere for all attendees
Required
- Outgoing, friendly personality with strong interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to remain calm, helpful, and professional in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Comfortable standing and walking for extended periods (up to 3+ hours)
- Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
- Must be at least 18 years of age
Preferred
- Prior experience in customer service, hospitality, or event environments
- Familiarity with the event venue or surrounding area
- Bilingual candidates are strongly encouraged to apply
All Festival Ambassadors are required to complete a mandatory pre-event training session. Training will cover:
- Full festival site map and layout walkthrough
- Locations of all activations, vendors, restrooms, medical stations, and entry/exit points
- Event schedule and programming overview
- Guest service protocols and escalation procedures
- Lost & found and emergency contact procedures
Ambassadors are expected to arrive fully trained and prepared to serve as confident, accurate sources of information for all guests.
LOCATIONAll shifts will take place in the Seaport area of Boston
COMPENSATIONAmbassadors will be compensated at $22 per hour
SHIFTSCandidates must be available to work a minimum of three shifts. Priority will be given to those who can work all seven
