A well-established interior architecture firm is seeking a Design Director to lead its high-end workplace practice in Boston. This role focuses on luxury, design-driven headquarters environments for big-tech and innovation-led clients
, rather than traditional corporate interiors.

- Lead and elevate design vision and quality across complex, high-end workplace projects
- Build trusted client relationships by translating business goals, culture, and performance needs into compelling design solutions
- Direct and present design concepts using strong storytelling and visual communication
- Oversee space planning, concept development, documentation, and furniture packages
- Collaborate closely with Project Managers and technical leaders to ensure alignment from concept through delivery
- Mentor and develop designers at all levels, fostering a culture of accountability and design excellence
- Participate in design reviews, training initiatives, and studio leadership efforts
- Support business development through client relationships, pursuits, and thought leadership
- Partner with marketing teams on project photography, storytelling, and award submissions
- Collaborate across studios and disciplines in alignment with firmwide standards
- 15+ years of total professional experience in architecture and or interior design
- Recent experience leading workplace projects
, ideally within a design-driven or high-end environment - Strong client-facing presence with excellent presentation and storytelling skills
- Experience mentoring and leading multidisciplinary teams
- Deep understanding of design phases from concept through construction administration
- Extensive knowledge of building systems, codes, ADA requirements, and FF&E
- Advanced proficiency in Revit, Sketch Up, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office
- Degree from an accredited architecture or interior design program
- Licensed Architect and or Interior Designer preferred
