About the role
Product Design Lead – responsible for shaping and implementing the design strategy across all product areas will work with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to own initiatives from concept through execution, build and evolve a comprehensive design system, and mentor the product team's design practice.
Responsibilities- Consult with engineers on layout, typography, flows, and visual design.
- Own large product features, applying Jobs‑To‑Be‑Done and information‑architecture frameworks to drive decisions.
- Use Figma to create visual artifacts and specifications that align stakeholders.
- Translate customer feedback into usability improvements and propose projects for engineering.
- Lead the refinement and expansion of the design system for consistency, usability, and brand alignment.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with GTM, designers, and product managers to surface data needs and justify design choices.
- Present and defend design proposals to senior leadership throughout the product development lifecycle.
- 10+ years of product design experience, primarily in desktop SaaS.
- Ability to manage large, ambiguous projects and decompose them into actionable tasks.
- Deep knowledge of high‑performance design teams and experience fostering a collaborative culture.
- Strategic thinker who can create standards, principles, and a design system that elevates quality across a product org.
- Expertise in layout, navigation, information architecture, UI, interaction design, and design craft.
- Strong intuition for usability issues complemented by data‑driven insights, with some user research experience.
- Curious, resourceful, and comfortable de‑risking creative solutions independently.
- Experience in early‑stage startups or as a solo designer is a plus.

Compensation Range: $180K – $240K.
