Job Description
AECOM is seeking an Architecture Designer II to be based in Boston, MA.
AECOM's Buildings + Places practice includes architecture, interiors, building engineering, workplace strategy, business transformation, asset advisory, economics and development planning, master planning, urban planning, and landscape architecture.

Responsibilities- Collaborate with senior architects and project managers to develop innovative design concepts and solutions.
- Conduct site visits and assessments to gather information for project planning and design.
- Create and present design proposals, including 3D renderings and physical models, to clients and stakeholders.
- Prepare specifications, reports, and related data tables.
- Maintain liaison with design and drafting groups.
- Prepare, review, and approve drawings as required.
- Assist in the development of project budgets and timelines, ensuring adherence to financial and scheduling constraints.
- Participate in client meetings and presentations to communicate design ideas effectively.
- Contribute to the preparation of construction documents, including detailed drawings and specifications.
- Coordinate with engineering and construction teams to ensure design integrity throughout the project lifecycle.
- Under the direction of the Supervising Architect, perform technical assignments of moderate complexity within approved schedules and budgets.
- Coordinate technical and administrative activities with employees in other disciplines and other departments participating on an assigned project.
- Assist in the training and evaluation of assigned architectural and design/drafting personnel.
- Bachelor of Architecture, plus two (2) years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
- Master of Architecture degree preferred
- Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch-up, or other 3D modeling software.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office programs, Enscape, or other rendering software.
- Enrolled in NCARB Architectural Experience program (AXP), formerly Intern Development Program (IDP) and actively seeking state Architecture Registration.
- Certification as a LEED Accredited Professional by the USGBC.
- Diverse knowledge of architecture principles and practices.
- Ability to clearly communicate with clients and peers.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong technical skills related to visualization, planning, and architectural design.
- Strong work ethic and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as be able to work closely with and collaborate with multidiscipline design team.
