As an Associate Project Architect, you'll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support the planning, design, and documentation of complex projects across life science, transportation, and commercial markets. You'll contribute to the development of architectural concepts, coordinate with engineering partners, and help advance projects through all phases-from early visioning through construction administration. What You'll Do
* Support architectural design and documentation efforts across all project phases, including conceptual design, schematic design, design development, and construction documents.
* Assist with the preparation of drawings, models, renderings, and other project deliverables using Revit and other design software.
* Solve complex problems in collaboration with team leaders, may lead project steps within a broader project, assist with and accountable for activities or objectives.
* Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including engineering, planning, and interiors to ensure coordinated, integrated design solutions.
* Participate in client meetings, presentations, and design workshops as needed.
* Assist in developing design narratives, specifications, and technical reports.
* Conduct product research and support material/finish selections.
* Review shop drawings, RFIs, and construction submittals during the construction administration phase.
* Help maintain quality standards and support the execution of project goals, schedules, and deliverables.
* Contribute to a culture of innovation, sustainability, and continuous improvement within the architectural team.
This role supports a diverse portfolio of projects, including large-scale urban and municipal developments.
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from an accredited program
* Registered Architect
* 5+ years of post-graduate professional architectural experience
* Proficiency in Revit for architectural modeling and documentation
* Knowledge of building systems, codes, and architectural best practices
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Experience with client and user group communication & engagement
Ideally, You'll Also Have
* Experience in one or more Cities & Places market sectors - life science, commercial or transportation (bus and rail).
* Relevant experience in planning, design, and solutions for life science projects.
* Interest or experience with infrastructure projects including commuter rail transit stations, boarding platforms, and transit support facilities.
* Experience balancing multiple priorities, coordinating the work with engineering disciplines and specialty consultants, working independently as well as collaboratively.
* Experience with design collaboration and issue tracking programs (Revizto)
* Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch Up, Enscape, or other visualization tools
* Interest or experience in sustainable design and LEED, WELL, or similar rating systems
* Participation in a professional organization
