A growing architecture firm in the Greater Boston area is seeking a Project Manager / Senior Designer to join its team. The firm specializes in multifamily, mixed-use, hospitality, retail, and commercial projects and offers the opportunity to work on a diverse range of project types and scales.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys balancing project management, client interaction, technical production, and team coordination. The successful candidate will be involved throughout the entire project lifecycle, from pre-design through construction administration and occupancy.

Responsibilities
  • Manage projects from pre-design through construction administration and occupancy
  • Oversee schematic design, design development, and construction documentation efforts
  • Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal project teams
  • Manage project schedules and oversee drafting/production staff
  • Review building systems, building codes, and local zoning requirements
  • Participate in client meetings, consultant coordination, and permitting processes
  • Conduct site visits and support construction administration activities
  • Represent the firm professionally with clients, municipalities, community groups, and permitting authorities
Qualifications
  • Professional degree in Architecture required
  • 7+ years of relevant post-graduate experience
  • Experience with multifamily and mixed-use projects required
  • Strong understanding of building systems, building codes, and zoning regulations
  • Experience managing projects from start to finish
  • Proficiency in Revit required
  • Professional licensure or pursuit of registration preferred
  • Experience with Passive House, LEED, or Net Zero projects is a plus
  • Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills
