Project Architect​/Manager

Job Summary

Location: NBBJ Boston.
Position: Project Architect/Manager. The role involves design, documentation, and planning of complex projects across multiple scales. Candidates should have experience in proposal development, contract management, and small project leadership. Sectors include Science, Healthcare, Higher Education, Mixed‑Use Commercial, and Corporate Interiors.

• Lead technical design and documentation of projects at various scales.
• Participate in client presentations and coordinate with OPM’s.
• Develop and finalize documents to ensure compliance with building codes, life safety standards, FGI guidelines, with focus on technical accuracy and regulatory adherence.
• Coordinate with interior, MEP, and structural disciplines during design and documentation phases.
• Collaborate with architects, interior designers, and project managers from concept design through construction administration.

• 10–12 years of architectural design and documentation experience in medium to large‑scale building programs.
• Demonstrated excellence in design and innovation.
• Experience from design development through construction administration with strong problem‑solving skills.
• Strong verbal and graphic communication skills, effective client relationship skills, and ability to work with diverse design and consulting teams.
• Experience with interior documentation and detailing, including casework detailing.
• Strong Revit proficiency.
• Professional licensure or progress toward licensure encouraged.
• LEED accreditation encouraged.
• Familiarity with LEAN concepts encouraged.

Annual base pay range: $110,000–$120,000, with compensation determined by skills, qualifications, and experience. The role requires residency in the United States.
