Architectural Designer
This role offers an opportunity for an Architectural Designer with at least two years of experience to contribute to active projects while working with a growing mid-sized office. You will use Revit and drafting skills to develop construction documents and support project delivery with a high degree of independence. This is a temporary position tied to specific projects, providing valuable experience on higher education projects and exposure to a collaborative studio environment.
Responsibilities- Develop and produce detailed construction documents using Revit and other drafting tools.
- Support the design and documentation of architectural projects from schematic design through construction documentation.
- Apply architectural standards, building systems knowledge, and coordination practices to create accurate, buildable drawings.
- Collaborate with project teams to incorporate design intent and technical requirements into construction documents.
- Work with a high level of independence, managing assigned tasks and meeting project deadlines with minimal supervision.
- Assist in coordinating drawings and details across disciplines to ensure consistency and clarity.
- Contribute to the design process for higher education projects and other assigned project types.
- Use Rhino and other digital tools, as applicable, to support design and visualization needs.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in the architecture field.
- Proficiency in Revit for architectural design and documentation.
- Demonstrated experience producing complete construction documents.
- Ability to operate and contribute almost fully independently on assigned tasks.
- Strong drafting skills and attention to detail in architectural documentation.
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or a closely related field.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience working on higher education projects is a plus.
- Experience with additional architectural design tools, including Rhino, is a plus.
- Familiarity with a range of architectural project types and phases.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a studio environment and adapt to project needs.
You will join a growing architectural office of approximately 60 people, offering a dynamic and collaborative studio setting. The role is structured as a temporary engagement to support two specific projects, with one project running from April to August and another from April to November. The team follows a hybrid schedule, with in-office work required three days per week, specifically Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
You will work with modern design and documentation tools, including Revit and Rhino, and gain hands-on experience with higher education projects in a professional, supportive environment.
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Boston, MA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $34.00 - $38.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
