Company Description

Eightytwo-Ninetytwo Architecture & Interiors LLP is a design-focused practice specializing in residential architecture and interior design. The firm is committed to creating thoughtfully planned, aesthetically coherent homes that balance function, comfort, and visual appeal. Project teams work closely with clients to understand their lifestyles and translate them into tailored spatial solutions. The studio values collaboration, attention to detail, and the integration of architecture and interiors into a unified design vision.

Role Description

The Residential Interior Designer will collaborate with architects and clients to develop interior concepts for single-family and multifamily homes, including space planning, finishes, fixtures, and furnishings. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing design presentations, mood boards, and material palettes; producing drawings and documentation; and coordinating with vendors, contractors, and consultants to ensure design intent is executed on-site. The role involves participating in client meetings, conducting site visits in Greater Boston, managing revisions, and supporting project schedules and budgets.

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Greater Boston, requiring close coordination with the in-office project team and regular interaction with clients and trades.

Qualifications
  • Ability to develop residential interior concepts, space plans, and cohesive design schemes aligned with architectural intent.
  • Proficiency in design and documentation tools such as Revit or similar CAD software, Twinmotion or other 3D modeling tools, and Adobe Creative Suite for presentations.
  • Strong skills in selecting finishes, fixtures, and furnishings, including knowledge of materials, lighting, and custom millwork or casework.
  • Capability to read and interpret architectural drawings, prepare interior drawings and schedules, and coordinate details with project teams and contractors.
  • Effective communication and client-facing skills, including the ability to present ideas clearly, incorporate feedback, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Solid project organization skills, with the ability to manage multiple residential projects, track deliverables, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a closely related field, or equivalent professional experience in residential interiors.
  • Prior experience in residential interior design, preferably in the Greater Boston area or similar markets; knowledge of local building practices is an advantage.
  • Commitment to inclusive, user-centered design, attention to detail, and willingness to learn and adapt to evolving project needs.
