Job Summary

PAYETTE is seeking a Senior Architect to join our Space Strategies group. The role demands expertise in space planning, programming, and laboratory planning for scientific and engineering research environments.

• Lead space planning and programming efforts alongside PAYETTE project leadership.
• Facilitate workshops and client meetings.
• Direct and produce data visualizations, design drawings, diagrams, and presentations.
• Develop processes and tools for the Space Strategies group and the broader PAYETTE practice.

• Professional degree in architecture; 10+ years of experience.
• Deep expertise in academic and/or laboratory planning and design.
• Ability to create and direct compelling presentations for leadership audiences.
• Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.

• Experience in higher education, healthcare, or campus planning.
• Strong organizational skills and follow-through.
• Collaborative working style with clients, consultants, and internal teams.
• Proficiency in Excel, Adobe Suite, Rhino, Revit, and/or PowerBI.
