Join our team! Keeler and Company is seeking a dedicated Assistant Interior Designer that is eager to join a fast-paced, interior design firm with projects across the country. The ideal candidate will have a deep care for our clients and their tasks, have an innate ability to stay organized and follow processes, and be a team-centric member of our organization.

Keeler & Co. is a high-end residential interior design firm located in the Jamaica Plain neighborhood of Boston. We provide our clients with creative solutions and beautiful spaces while ensuring their experience with the design process is seamless. Here at Keeler & Co., we are a collaborative team where everyone is encouraged to learn and grow. We also have a seasonal design shop and a second office location in Seal Harbor, Maine

Job Responsibilities
  • Work directly with designers throughout the design process on various sized, high-end projects, including new builds, renovations, and decorating projects.
  • Assist in site measures with designers.
  • Support design team with requesting quotes and compiling budgets for projects.
  • Create and manage proposals, invoices, and purchase orders in a detailed manner.
  • Develop design plans and architectural drawings in AutoCAD, including floor plans, elevations, custom cabinetry, and more.
  • Assist with sourcing FF&A at the Boston Design Center, High Point Markets, and beyond.
  • Collaborate with principal designer and lead designer on client design presentations and oversee sample procurement.
  • Coordinate with our purchasing agent to track orders through production and installation.
  • Prepare and manage all installations, as well as assisting with photoshoots.
  • Organize project binders and create spec books for clients.
  • Maintain an organized materials library.
  • Oversee and develop office warehouse organization.
  • Schedule office visits for vendors to showcase new products to the design team biweekly.
Job Requirements
  • Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in an Interior Design focused major
  • 1-3 years experience in the interior design field or interior design internship experience.
  • Possess a positive and proactive “can do” attitude with the ability to adapt and problem solve as challenges arise.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage various tasks simultaneously with a strong attention to detail.
  • Understands the importance of organization and processes.
  • Strong communication skills - comfortable communicating with clients and vendors.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Adobe creative suite, Google Suite, Excel.
  • Knowledge of design management software, including Ivy/Houzz,is a plus.
  • Keeler & Co. has projects throughout the country and offices in Mount Desert Island, Maine and Boston, Massachusetts. Must be willing to travel as needed.
