Position Overview:
We’re seeking a motivated Design Assistant to support our design team through both technical documentation and day-to-day project coordination. You’ll play a key role in keeping projects on track—managing samples, vendor communication, and technical documentation while learning the foundations of design execution in a boutique, hands-on environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with AutoCAD drawings including floor plans, elevations, and basic details.
- Make drawing revisions based on redlines and team feedback.
- Support preparation of drawing sets for internal review, client presentations, and vendor pricing.
- Assist designers with material sourcing, sample organization, and vendor outreach.
- Track purchase orders, deliveries, and project schedules to ensure smooth execution.
- Prepare and organize client presentations and documentation.
- Maintain the materials library and project archives.
- Support on-site installations, photoshoots, and client meetings.
- Liaise with showrooms, fabricators, and contractors to gather and track information.
- Provide general administrative and project support to the design team.
Qualifications:
- 1–3 years of experience in a design or project coordination role required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Fine Arts, or related field.
- Strong experience in AutoCAD, Photoshop, Sketchup, and In Design
- Knowledge of design process - FF&E, specifications, finish, and material selections
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a dynamic studio environment.
- Proficiency in Cloud Based Systems such as One Drive and Dropbox.
- Enthusiastic, resourceful, and eager to contribute to a collaborative team.
