Project Architect
The Project Architect leads complex architectural projects with a focus on healthcare facilities and building envelope/enclosure design. This role combines design excellence, project management, construction administration, and client-facing responsibilities, while leveraging Revit and collaborating closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to deliver high-quality, well-coordinated projects.
Responsibilities
- Lead architectural projects from concept through construction, ensuring design quality, technical accuracy, and adherence to project requirements.
- Manage project schedules, deliverables, and coordination activities as a Project Architect and Project Manager, maintaining clear communication with all stakeholders.
- Oversee construction administration tasks, including reviewing submittals, responding to RFIs, and participating in site visits as needed.
- Develop and refine design solutions for healthcare projects and building envelope/enclosure systems, ensuring functionality, safety, and aesthetic quality.
- Prepare, review, and coordinate detailed construction documents and drawings in Revit, maintaining consistency and accuracy across project files.
- Participate in client meetings, present design concepts, and respond to client feedback in a professional and timely manner.
- Support business development and networking efforts by building strong client relationships and representing the firm at industry events and meetings.
- Collaborate closely with internal project teams, consultants, and contractors to resolve design and coordination issues throughout all phases of a project.
- Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and best practices in healthcare design and building envelope performance.
- Contribute to a positive team culture by sharing knowledge, mentoring junior staff, and supporting continuous improvement in project delivery.
Essential Skills
- At least 8 years of experience in the architecture field, with progressively responsible project roles.
- Strong proficiency in Revit for design, documentation, and coordination of architectural projects.
- Demonstrated experience leading and managing projects, including project planning, coordination, and oversight of deliverables.
- Hands-on construction administration experience, including submittal review, RFIs, and field coordination.
- Extensive background in healthcare projects and/or building envelope/enclosure design.
- Proven client-facing experience, including participation in client meetings and presentations.
- Experience with networking and business development activities in a professional services environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or a closely related field.
- Registered Architect credential is highly valued; registration is a plus but not required.

- Experience in a project architect (PA) and project manager (PM) capacity, balancing design leadership with project delivery responsibilities.
- Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships and contribute to business development initiatives.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to producing accurate, coordinated construction documents.
