A busy interior architecture firm in Boston’s Seaport is seeking a Senior Interior Designer to join its growing team. This is a great opportunity for an experienced designer who enjoys corporate interiors, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is ready to take greater ownership of projects while working closely with clients and project teams.
The firm specializes in corporate interiors, workplace environments, tenant fit-outs, and existing building renovations throughout Greater Boston. The ideal candidate will bring a strong combination of design experience, technical knowledge, communication skills, and the ability to independently drive work forward within a collaborative studio environment.
Responsibilities- Lead and support corporate interiors and workplace projects through design and documentation
- Develop space plans, design concepts, presentations, and construction documents
- Produce and oversee project documentation using Revit
- Coordinate closely with clients, consultants, Project Managers, and internal design teams
- Manage multiple active projects and priorities simultaneously
- Provide design guidance and support to junior team members
- Review project documentation for design intent, accuracy, and consistency
- Participate in client meetings and communicate design solutions effectively
- Support projects through construction administration as needed
- Take ownership of assignments while maintaining project schedules and deadlines
- 10+ years of professional interior design, interior architecture, or architectural design experience
- Strong proficiency in Revit
- AutoCAD experience
- Experience working across multiple phases of interior architecture projects
- Strong client-facing and presentation skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities independently
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Collaborative, personable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to mentor and provide direction to less experienced designers
- Strong pipeline of corporate interiors and workplace projects
- Variety of tenant fit-out and existing building renovation work throughout Greater Boston
