Interior Designer​/Design Assistant

McBride & Yee Interior Design is seeking a talented and highly organized Interior Designer with 1- 2 years of professional experience to join our team. This is a full-time position based in Boston, reporting directly to the firm’s principals. In your role, you will work closely with both principals on the design, documentation, procurement, and implementation of high-end residential interiors. This is a collaborative, hands-on role requiring a strong design sensibility, exceptional organizational skills, and careful attention to detail.

• Assist with all phases of the design process, from initial concept development through installation
• Source furniture, lighting, textiles, wall coverings, finishes, artwork, and accessories
• Prepare and maintain client presentations, material boards, specifications, and project documentation
• Produce and revise floor plans, furniture plans, elevations, and other technical drawings
• Request and organize vendor quotes, pricing, samples, and product information
• Assist with procurement, order tracking, and coordination with vendors, workrooms, contractors, and installers
• Maintain accurate project schedules, budgets, specifications, and product records
• Attend client meetings, site visits, construction meetings, showroom appointments, and installations
• Assist with field measurements and the documentation of existing conditions
• Help prepare for and participate in project installations and styling
• Communicate professionally and promptly with clients, vendors, tradespeople, and project partners
• Provide general studio and project support as needed
