Role Description The AutoCAD Drafter - Projects role is a full-time, on-site position based in the Greater Boston area. This role is responsible for preparing detailed CAD drawings and plans for indoor sports facilities, including layouts for artificial turf, netting, wall padding, and related equipment. The drafter collaborates closely with project managers, sales team members, and installation staff to translate customer requirements into accurate technical documents and shop drawings.

Daily tasks include updating and revising drawings, ensuring compliance with project specifications and safety standards, and maintaining organized drawing files and documentation. The role may also involve reviewing architectural plans, supporting project estimating, and contributing to continuous improvement of design standards and drafting processes.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong skills in Technical Drawing and general Drawing for construction and installation projects.
• Candidates should possess experience creating and interpreting Shop Drawings for fabrication and on-site implementation.
• Candidates should possess the ability to work with Architectural Drawings and basic Architecture concepts related to layouts and building structures.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar CAD software, with the ability to produce accurate 2D plans and details.
• Attention to detail, strong spatial reasoning, and the ability to visualize finished spaces from plans.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams in an on-site environment.
• Associate's degree, technical certificate, or equivalent experience in drafting, engineering technology, architecture, or a related field.
• Experience with sports facility design, construction, or installation projects is a plus.
