About the PositionLocum Jobs Online is working with Barton Associates to find a qualified Geriatrics MD in Massachusetts!
We are seeking a board-certified Internal Medicine or Family Practice Physician with geriatrics experience for a 60-day locum tenens assignment in Massachusetts, starting Jan 5, 2026. This full-time opportunity features a Monday through Friday schedule and involves providing comprehensive care to a frail or elderly population.

- Provider Type Needed:
Geriatrician - Schedule:
Monday to Friday, full time; provider on-call rotation as required
- Conduct history and physicals on new participants, and perform event-based and periodic reassessments
- Develop medical treatment plans and provide medically necessary services
- Interview and evaluate applicants to the PACE Organization
- Discuss medical conditions and prognosis with participants and caregivers
- Collaborate in the nursing treatment program
- Participate as a member of the PACE Organization interdisciplinary team
- Educate participants and families regarding care and treatment
- Supervise the health care and treatment program
- Perform physical examinations, and order and evaluate diagnostic tests
- Current and active plenary physician license to practice in Massachusetts required
- Board Certification in Internal Medicine or Family Practice required;
Board Certification in Geriatrics preferred - DEA Registration and Controlled Substances Registration required
- Minimum of one year experience working with a frail or elderly population required
- Previous supervisory experience required
- Experience or added qualifications in geriatrics preferred
- Strong compensation
