Position Title:
Maternal Fetal Medicine MD/DO, Academic

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine, is recruiting for a full-time Academic Maternal Fetal Medicine Specialist. This position has primarily clinical responsibilities, including coverage of the antepartum service, obstetrical ultrasound, prenatal diagnosis, perinatal consultation, and optional management of the labor floor. All faculty members are expected to participate in resident and medical student education.

This position is co-listed with an open position for Director of Quality and Safety for the Department of OB/GYN at Boston Medical Center, Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine. Qualified MFM candidates may apply concurrently for the Director of Quality and Safety role (listed separately).

  • Full-time role requires 12 shifts (10-14 hours) per month, with opportunities to pick up additional shifts for additional compensation
Minimum qualifications
  • MD/DO from an accredited medical school and eligibility for Massachusetts Medical License
  • Board certified or board eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology and completion of a Fellowship in Maternal-Fetal Medicine
  • Fluency in Spanish, French, or other languages is desirable, but not required

Compensation

Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine (BU-CASM) offers a competitive salary commensurate with academic training and practice experience. Academic appointment will be at Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine. Rank will be commensurate to qualifications and experience.

Compensation ranges between $335,916 and $604,321. The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and departmental budget. The above hiring range represents a good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
