Position Title: Maternal Fetal Medicine MD/DO, Academic
The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine and the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology at Boston University Medical Center are recruiting for a full-time academic Maternal Fetal Medicine (MFM) Specialist. This position has primarily clinical responsibilities, including coverage of the antepartum service, obstetrical ultrasound, prenatal diagnosis, perinatal consultation, and optional management of the labor floor.
All faculty members are expected to participate in resident and medical student education.
The MFM faculty are engaged in funded research in hypertension, health-related social needs, and substance use disorders, among other areas.
Responsibilities- Provide clinical care on the antepartum service, perform obstetrical ultrasound and prenatal diagnosis, and participate in perinatal consultation.
- Optionally manage the labor floor and participate in resident and medical student education.
- Collaborate in obstetric quality improvement, safety initiatives, research, and hospital/university committees as appropriate.
- Work in a high-acuity labor and delivery unit with a diverse patient population in a supportive environment.
Note: This position is co-listed with an open position for Director of Quality and Safety for the Department of OB/GYN at Boston Medical Center, Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine. Qualified MFM candidates may apply concurrently for the Director of Quality and Safety role (listed separately).
Qualifications- MD or DO from an accredited medical school and eligible for Massachusetts Medical License.
- Board certified or board eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology and completed a Fellowship in Maternal-Fetal Medicine.
- Fluency in Spanish, French, or other languages beyond English is desirable but not required.
