Gastroenterologist, Medical Doctor
A leading hospital in Boston is seeking a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible General Gastroenterologist to join its expanding GI service. This is a collaborative faculty-style position within an established Department of Gastroenterology affiliated with a major academic medical environment.
The ideal candidate is a skilled clinician with a strong interest in community-based gastroenterology supported by the resources and academic environment of a major teaching hospital.
Key Responsibilities- Provide outpatient and inpatient consultative gastroenterology care
- Perform routine GI procedures including EGD and colonoscopy
- Manage a wide range of GI conditions including GERD, liver disease, IBS, IBD, and GI bleeding
- Participate in rotating inpatient coverage and call schedule
- Collaborate with a tertiary GI team for advanced cases and referrals
- Work alongside a multidisciplinary care team including advanced practice providers, GI nurses, and anesthesiology support
- Teaching opportunities with medical students and residents
- Participation in clinical quality initiatives
- Scholarly or research collaboration within the Department of Gastroenterology (if desired)
- MD or DO from an accredited institution
- Board Certified/Board Eligible in Gastroenterology
- Completion of ACGME-accredited GI fellowship
- Eligible for medical licensure in Massachusetts
- Strong clinical skills with dedication to patient-centered care
