Thoracic Surgery Physician Assistant – Boston, MA | Night Shift

- Experience: Minimum 1-year thoracic surgery experience preferred
- Hourly Pay Rate: $149.81

- Evaluate and manage adult/geriatric thoracic surgery patients in a hospital setting
- Perform procedures including chest tube placement, Blake drain, and pigtail management
- Assist with ABG, NGT, G, and J feeding tube procedures
- See approximately 15-25 patients per shift, primarily on the floor, ICU, or post-op units
- Support the care team as a solo provider with backup from a resident or fellow
- Respond to codes and perform initial assessments when needed
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality patient care
- Manage transfers, perform H&Ps for transferred patients, and participate in post-op care
- Required:
- NCCPA certification and valid licensure (no state license required)
- ACLS and BLS certifications
- DEA registration
- At least 1 year of thoracic surgery experience or equivalent
- Preferred:
- Experience with thoracic surgical procedures and post-op patient management
