The Department of Neurology at Boston Children's Hospital is seeking applicants for a Pediatric Neurohospitalist. We are particularly interested in candidates with a focus in inpatient neurology services providing care throughout the hospital including the ED, wards and ICUs. The candidate must possess an MD degree or equivalent and be board eligible/certified in Neurology. The successful applicant will join the thriving Department of Neurology.
The successful applicant will be appointed at a Harvard Medical School rank (Instructor, Assistant or Associate Professor) commensurate with experience, training and achievements in addition to teaching activities. The candidate should have a longstanding history of delivering superb clinical care. Compensation and benefits will be competitive and commensurate with experience and the final clinical effort and schedule.
- The anticipated service commitment is approximately 18-20 weeks per year, structured to support a sustainable neurohospitalist model
- Depending on candidate interest and programmatic needs, opportunities may be available for additional in-house overnight and/or weekend Emergency Department neurology coverage; the final schedule may be individualized based on the candidate's clinical interests and overall role.
- Provide inpatient child neurology care across the hospital, including the neonatal and pediatric ICUs, general and neurology inpatient units, and Emergency Department.
- Collaborate closely with pediatric neurologists, intensivists, neonatologists, emergency medicine physicians, neurosurgeons, and multidisciplinary hospital teams.
- Teaching of residents, fellows, and other trainees is an integral part of the position.
- 0-3 YRS: $250,000-$280,000
- 4-7 YRS: $280,000-$320,000
- 8-10 YRS: $320,000-$360,000
In addition, there is an annual clinical bonus in which faculty are eligible for up to $24,000 per year based on clinical activities.
