Description
This is a contract, on-site position at the associate experience level, offering a competitive yearly salary in USD within the Medical Practice industry.
As a Locum Radiologist, you will deliver high-quality diagnostic imaging services that support accurate diagnosis, effective treatment planning, and improved patient outcomes. You will interpret a range of imaging studies, collaborate closely with referring physicians and clinical teams, and contribute directly to the continuity of care in a fast-paced medical practice environment.
Responsibilities- Interpret and report on diagnostic imaging studies, including X-rays, CT scans, MRIs, and ultrasounds
- Provide timely and accurate radiology readings to support clinical decision-making
- Collaborate with referring physicians and multidisciplinary care teams on patient cases
- Ensure compliance with established radiology protocols, safety standards, and regulatory requirements
- Maintain thorough and accurate documentation of imaging findings and reports
- Communicate critical or urgent findings promptly to the appropriate clinical staff
- Support quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives within the radiology service
- Stay current with advances in radiology techniques, imaging technology, and best practices
- Participate in case reviews and clinical discussions with colleagues
- Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care throughout the diagnostic process
- MD (Medical Doctor) or DO (Osteopathic Doctor) degree
- Experience at the associate level in a radiology role
- Valid medical license to practice in the relevant jurisdiction
- Board certification or eligibility in Radiology
- Proficiency in interpreting diagnostic imaging studies
- Strong clinical judgment, attention to detail, and diagnostic accuracy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with clinical teams
- Ability to work effectively on-site in a fast-paced medical practice environment
- Commitment to patient safety, quality care, and professional ethics
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage a varied caseload
This opening offers weekday scheduling, with a diverse caseload and dedicated support staff.
Body Imaging:
- Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 8a-5p - Duties:
Interpret routine outpatient CT and MRI studies - Case Types:
Abdominal, pelvic, liver, pancreatic, biliary, GI, emergency, and trauma imaging - Support Staff: 3 physicians
MSK Imaging:
- Schedule:
8a-5p, 4 days per week - Duties:
Evaluate MRI and CT studies and perform arthrograms - Case Types:
Joint and spine imaging, sports medicine, orthopedic trauma, fractures, and surgical planning - Support Staff: 2 physicians
Vascular Imaging:
- Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 8a-5p - Duties:
Provide CT angiography and ultrasound studies - Case Types:
Pulmonary embolism, stroke, DVT, aortic aneurysm, and aortic dissection - Support Staff: 2 physicians
