We are currently seeking a full‑time Visual Arts teacher to begin in fall 2026. The position involves teaching in both the Upper and Lower School, covering topics including drawing, painting, printmaking, digital media, sculpture and clay. Experience teaching the AP Art and Design curriculum and art history is preferable. The position also includes ancillary duties as assigned. The ideal candidate would be a teaching artist with five years of teaching experience, a Bachelor's degree, and a preference for working with students in grades 5‑12.
A commitment to community and inclusion work, an understanding of the importance of teacher engagement in community life, and an interest in using a variety of pedagogical approaches in the classroom are essential. The ability to use technology effectively in the teaching and learning process is also important.
Teach Visual Arts in both Upper and Lower School, covering drawing, painting, printmaking, digital media, sculpture and clay.
Implement AP Art and Design curriculum and art history lessons.
Use technology to enhance student learning and engagement.
Collaborate with colleagues, participate in faculty meetings, and serve community and inclusion initiatives.
QualificationsFive years of teaching experience in a visual arts discipline.
Bachelor’s degree in visual arts or related field.
Experience with AP Art and Design curriculum and art history preferred.
Strong commitment to community and inclusion work.
Excellent pedagogical skills, varied instructional approaches, and technology proficiency.
