Overview
The Computer Science Department at the University of Massachusetts Boston invites applications for a full-time tenure-track faculty position to begin September 1, 2026. We will consider strong candidates in any research area but will prioritize Artificial Neural Networks.
QualificationsA PhD in computer science or a related area is required. The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary and start-up package and is expected to establish a highly recognized, robust externally funded, and independent research program.
ResponsibilitiesEstablish and maintain a highly recognized, externally funded, independent research program. Contribute to teaching and service as appropriate to the tenure-track role.

UMass Boston expects to pay within an approximate range between $80,000 and $126,000 for this position. The specific pay will be determined by the University based on relevant factors when an offer of employment is extended. Exceptional candidates may be considered for salaries above the published range to ensure competitiveness within the academic market.
